i'm in highschool, and i wish i would've taken photography classes, but my schedules too full now for that to happen. what i'm saying is that i really love taking pictures of things, and i want a good camera for it. something with clarity and high definition. i'm not looking to spend over $500, i can't afford that with my job. but i know there's a lottt of different cameras that are good, many different types of sony and other brands. so seeing as there are so many different cameras that could be appropriate, and seeing as i don't know that much about specific features, i need help. if you could recommend a camera that you think is well priced and also good, i'd appreciate that.
For entry level DSLR cameras i would suggest
Nikon D3000 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera
3x 18-55mm Zoom-Nikkor VR Image Stabilization lens
Nikon EXPEED image processing; in-camera image editing and Active D-Lighting
3.0-inch color LCD screen; 170-degree wide-angle viewing

If you want a point and shoot camera then i suggest
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35
12.1-megapixel resolution
27mm wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens; 18x optical zoom with POWER O.I.S.
HD movies with 1280 x 720-pixel resolution; AVCHD Lite format
2.7-inch TFT LCD screen
