When I plug it in it does nothing. Then when I go to My Computer and enter into ACERDATA(D:), I get 4 files, a notepad, and a window icon.
No way I can download any pictures. I didn't use to do that.

The first thing to try is rebooting the computer. That solves a lot of ills.
Second, look to see if there isn't another device besides ACERDATA that has the pictures.
Third, get a card reader. My SD to USB converter cost me $4 and it allows me to upload my pictures without running the battery down on my camera.
