also, would i only be able to view the pics i take only through the kodak software or can i upload them and view on another program?
I guess, but make sure you really want a Kodak. They're on their way out for Digital cameras, try finding a Canon powershot. Those are much better, and much more reliable. It's good to search some online reviews before purchasing any electronics.
