canon sd1200 vs canon sd780?

ok so, i am searching for a pocket camera (point and shoot) i've done research on these two cameras. i' am aware of the HD movie mode on the sd780, but i want to hear opinions on the photo quality of these two cameras. i see some shots from online review sites, but they apparently don't know how to take photos because most of the samples ive seen look really bad lol. i am pretty sure canon puts out better quality than that. anywho, to anyone that owns either or both of these cameras i would like to hear all the ups and downs about them. also, if you have any links to any great photos you have taken with these cameras i would like to see them. linketh them to me! thanks!!

I think both are good cameras. If you do not care about the HD video or making bigger prints then the Canon SD1200 IS just as good.

The SD780 has slightly more wide angle in its zoom but a bit less telephoto.

Below is a link to a web page that has a side by side listing of the 2 cameras so that you can compare feature and specs. You may want to check out customer reviews on Amazon and see what people have experienced that have used the camera.

Hope this helps.

There is no big difference between Canon SD780 and SD1200, only HD video.
If you want HD video, SD780 is your good choice but if you don't mind than then Canon SD1200 IS a good choice with cheaper price.
